John Hovda, Solutions Architect, will present at the CELUG/EDAC co-located Design Automation Conference (DAC) in San Diego. Mr. Hovda, of OpeniT, Inc., will be presenting the OpeniT solution for Enterprise Licensing in San Diego, California on June 8 , 2011. The event, held by the Centralized Enterprise Licensing Users Group (CELUG) in conjunction with the Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), will use interactive, face to face sessions focused on making high tech tools and users more productive. Mr. Hovda’s presentation will show Enterprise customers how OpeniT LicenseOptimizer automatically revokes inactive software licenses using rules defined by an administrator, so others users can access previously checked-out software. He will also demonstrate how LicenseAnalyzer is used for chargeback and cost allocation, and how the advanced reports made from software license metering enables Pay-Per-Use software licensing. Enterprise customers can base their software licensing agreements on actual usage of “price book” software items, not just by “feature”. A case scenario will demonstrate a savings of over $6 million, where metering reveals a difference of 121 software licenses between the perceived use, and maximum total concurrent license users, as compared to the actual use, or maximum total active concurrent users.
